Guess what happened last night!
« on: June 24, 2010, 01:31:48 pm »

Well, at around 18:30 I left my apartment to go to my parents' place and have dinner; you see, the 23rd is sort of a celebratory day in Denmark (something with the "peak of summer"; it's the day The Sun is up the longest time). I came home home at around 20:30-45 - and someone had broken into my apartment. He left everything as it was, except for my computer, which he stole. I don't know when I'll get a new one, but for now I don't have a computer.

Fucking asshole. <-- the guy who broke into my apartment...

Yeah, I am insured, but because of our self-risk(?) being so high, (approx. 400€ that won't be covered) and the depreciation of its value due to time, I'll only get ~140€, out of the 800€ it had cost me 2 years and 4 months ago.

Hmm?
Insurance here pay the new-price,  which is a tad more fair. Anyway, for an 2,4 year old computer 540 euros is certainly not bad. Of course the own-risk criples it, but if you'd look at market price it would've probably dropped a lot more than just 260 euros.

Since when do they? As far as I know they start decreasing the value after a year (if its less then one year old you'll probably get the new price paid).

Self-risk sucks, as soon as i figured out i had it i changed insurance to one which didn't have it :P
