A gamer accused of cheating in a net café game of CounterStrike narrowly escaped death after irate players skewered his head on a knife.

The incident began in a net café in China’s northern province of Jilin, when a group of youths apparently noticed a 17-year-old boy they had been playing CounterStrike with had been cheating by using a “wallhack” to allow himself to see through walls.

An argument began and a fight broke out outside the café. During the fight the cheater had a 30cm knife thrust into his left temple, with the blade only being stopped by the other side of his skull.

His assailants fled the scene after inflicting this injury, and he was quickly taken to hospital in an ambulance, still remaining conscious. Doctors decided to operate immediately.

How horrible! Even though he deserved something as punishment, the guy who used the knife just took it way to far! They should have banned him from the net café for cheating.

I believe there is something called "proportional" violence...

If you see someone cheating, you may hit him a few times, give him a beating... not drive a fucking knife a foot down his brain...

In my opinion the "attackers" need THEIR fucking brains checked.. maybe with a footlong knife, I heard stabbing through it helps...

Cheating ruins a game for many many people, but they don't deserve to die. (I am aware this kid didn't die but he's very lucky.)

Read my post again ok? I said that the knife went too far. Remove the knife from the story, and the guy wouldn't have had anything in is skull right?

So a group of people attacking someone as long as there is no knife attack; is okay?
Read your post again yourself. Some kid cheated.....in imaginary world! His pixels killed someone else' pixels. It's fucking madness for physical violence to play a factor in any cheating case.

It's also insane that people get angry when someone cheats in poker! Violence may also follow that.

Personally, I think a punch or two and being kicked out of the cafe was more than "Justice".  It may not sound right "morally", but he would probably think about that incident if he ever cheated again.
