Unexpected server downtime
« on: February 22, 2010, 08:57:23 pm »

The server seems to have lost contact completely, all services are down including RDP and ping. We are trying to fix it but do not yet have any idea why it is not responding, we can therefore give no ETA on when it will be resolved.

We will keep you updated.

Apparently our cheapskate host does not have an option to reset the server remotely, nor is anyone available right now, so it's likely that we can't fix anything before their helpdesk opens at 10am CET tomorrow :(

Although IRC from BlackIntel isn't possible, you can still (as always) connect to the BlackIntel channels through, among other, the n00bstories.com IRC.

What's even more rubbish is that I'll have to travel at least 3 hours before I can fix the problem if indeed something is broken.

I was wondering where the TS and FS servers went.

And Yes, Gwynzer this is actually me, and yes I can find these forums without your help. I had no other choice when I found out I had come on after you already went to bed. >:[

I'm afraid we won't be able to go today. We hoped that it would be possible for our colocation provider to reset the machine and that way (somewhat?) fixing it.
This is however rather expensive (135 euros + probably), and we can't be sure this fixes it. StealthEye and me are now looking to go over there ourself. This will cost us/me at least 3 hours of travel time to get there, hence this is not feasible anymore today. Because we would need to use poor public transport in that area to get from and to the datacenter.

Yes rubbish indeed, but nothing one can do about it really.

Or shit loads of monies. But we have neither so that won't help us anything right now. Current plans are Stealth and me going to the datacenter tomorrow.
