You didn't get fired, you got laid off. maaaaaaaajor difference
I may not have gotten fired, but the difference is minimal. I was still "forcefully" removed - it wasn't my choice.
Besides, at least IMO, "lay off"/"laid off" to me indicates more in the case where a company have to get rid of some employers in order to save money.
Anyhows, I have actually gotten a new job already. 1-200 meters from where I work now, there is another super market - one I actually once worked in. I am beginning there the 1st of February. However, I was honestly more hoping for a job as a subtitle-guy... You know, a guy putting Danish subtitles on English shows/series/movies......... . And maybe also the other way around...
