I have a question about this need for inactive players etc.

Given that there is a reason why people are inactive, are we not simply looking for new players? Wouldn't that make sense? The active community are generally the only ones who will post. And if the announcements annoy the active members, think how annoying they are to the inactive ones

Anyway, that question! Are we on renforums clan section? Have you ewd or dexter looked into that? People ask quite regularly for a clan there...

I can do Saturday morning, if I am awake.  I can poke a few peeps wh ohave UT3 from FS to come along aswell if needed.

Well, it is intented as a public clan event, so consider it needed

Also, I guess that you'll most likely recieve spam daily, so a mail more or less shouldn't matter. Oh, and, you don't have to reply.

At least give me the option to turn those off in my profile.
The option to do this seems to be removed around here...

I never get any announcements, so either there is a option to turn it off or admins don't get it at all or something... Anyway, I don't see the point in announcing these things either...

If i recall when the announcements are sent, there is an option to click "send to admins aswel" I'm guessing Evil doesn't check that box....

But as with Trace, I also cannot find any option to switch off announcements.
