I removed the blue layer, wich was just a special brush I made blue and used overlay, but it didn't fit the Metallica thing.

I would probably blur the sphere a bit more. Doesn't have to be blur, but at least do something with it.

Sorry didn't notice your irc message until now.

Um can I ask what's the sphere look like on its on? Is that black bg actually on the image?
I suggest maybe getting rid of the black bg on it, and get some blending done on the whole sphere itself. I really like the blackground, seems like you've done quite a good job on that.

After playing with the sphere, (track around all of it, with an eraser brush at 60% opacity, and maybe even set its blending mode to overlay.) Try adding another render in there too, something more to pull focus. Liking it's prospects though, has potential! very different

CoD4 Scope Wallpaper

Decided to put wallpapers I make in here too now. Quite proud of this one (btw, <--foobar just opened when i typed that smiley >.> - for anyone that read my problem topic)

How I did it

I used this image for the focal: http://syckaudio.com/files/images/08114_lcd_30inch_11h.jpg  (<--- I removed the tags above the players) and I had CoD4 open for reference on how some of the scopes looked, then recreated the look of them using the eclipse tool and contract method so I could line up the reticle exactly in the centre of the scope.

Other resolutions available on request. Also if you'd like a different enemy (even from a different game) in your sights, just ask and I'll try to do it for you. Please Comment if you like it or use it

Quick note.

well for a school project we needed to make a design for our school name lol  and well with the things you learned me it was really easy and me and a few buddy's scored an A   hehe

For now I'm working some more on Nik Ainley style text, some 3d text edited in photoshop.
He has some amazing pieces, going through his tutorials and looking at his work. I think i can release a Nik Ainley inspired text tutorial.
