In the light of the recent organisational changes we have decided that we need to fix some bits of BlackIntel. We want a decent clan symbol/graphic, as we feel that is currently missing.
Many games and networking services allow us to set an avatar or logo for our clan, but we have nothing which fits for all of our games, and nothing that's really that good. (Take XFire, our avatar is Pingu). How will we be able to identify where our clan boundaries end in the 'hood, if we don't have a graffiti tag we can use for reference? We have no symbol to shine into the sky as a signal to rally all our members to fight crime! The Shame! The Horror!
We thought the best way to get a new graphic made is to ask you guys. We have a lot of people both within BlackIntel, and also community friends who are fantastic graphic designers, and we'd like to ask you guys to come up with something. As an incentive, the Game Leaders and council members have agreed to offer a prize. We can't offer money, but we can maybe offer resources. Such as FTP space or a free gameserver for a short time. If the design is good (as judged by himself), Gwynzer has agreed to have it turned into a tattoo, possibly even in a location of your choosing (within reason). We hope that we'll be getting a decent amount of entries, so we'll be putting an initial closing date for the 11th May Once this date is reached, the Game Leaders and Council Members will get together and vote on a submitted design.
The Rules:
We want the initial submission to be big, and square. 1024x1024 or 800x800, something of that size. Ideally, we'd like it to either scale, or be adaptable to smaller sizes.
-Please PM submissions to Gwynzer, you can also post them in this thread if you wish to show others.
-There is no limit to submissions per person.
-The winning design will be chosen by a vote consisting of clan staff/council members, however any of us who wish to participate, also have to abstain from voting.
-If staff can't reach a decision on the design, we'll open the vote up to Clan Seniors with the same voting rules.
The Prize:
- (Dependant on his personal opinion) Gwynzer will have it tattooed onto his body somewhere.
- 5GB FTP space on the BI Box
- A gameserver ran on the BI box, for 6 months. (size dependant on load)
- A BI T-Shirt (choice of two designs)
The opening date is NOW. The closing date for submissions will be the 11th of May.
