netcode hack
« on: November 19, 2010, 02:29:05 am »

This message just popped up at st0rm irc

[21:09:23] <@St0rm-Ultra> [BIATCH]: Pyryle tried to perform a netcode hack (update object of disallowed class id)!
[21:09:23] <@St0rm-Ultra> Player Pyryle has joined the war fighting for team GDI

I don't recall seeing a netcode hack with this type of message. Usually we just see enemy transmission or something to that effect. What does this one mean, should I ban this user?

Here is the player's information if that helps. I x'ed out the ip-address and serial.

[PlayerInfo]: ID[10] Name[Pyryle] Ping[65] Score[35] IPAddress[75.24.247.2] SerialHash[74be16979710d4c4e7c6647856088456] Bandwidth[185kB/s] KD[1k/1d=1.00] Credits[1385] Version[4.0]

I see that it says Version[4.0] are scripts 4.0 out? Could this be the issue?

Thank you.

I think it could help identify the use if you post he IP and serial. And 4.0 isn't out officially.

I think he is an APB beta tester, so it is most likely a legit scripts 4.0 test. I'm still interested in the BIATCH extended log file entry though, it would be great if you could send me that, so that I can fix the TT bug that caused this. :)
