online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

New computer built and setup today :]
Amd 5000+ 64bit dual core processor
2gb ram
Nvidia 9400 GT

I am very happy indeed :D Will take me a few days get back into the swing of things, and install appropriate programs, and some hardware needed. But i'll be back on ren shortly.

1680x1050 res, other apps running and im still getting 60fps mid battle on a 14 v 14 server it's insane ;D

Go Options, then BHS.dll Options
Disable Wait for VSync
Then your FPS will be about 200-350.
Even on Servers like RenCom (very full Server) you can get that FPS.
What do you define as other Apps?
AntiVirus?
Other Games?
Messengers?

afaik renegade caps at 75fps, disabling vsync just gives a false reading
Other apps, always have anti virus in the bg so thats not really an issue.
FF 10 tabs +. msn, video playing on dual monitor. Not much :P just ALOT better that what i used to have to deal with.

To clarify it's not a "my set up is better than yours" topic, im just stating how i can run it now - much much better than my previous computer

Renegade doesn't cap anything, although your monitor will not be able to display 200 frames/sec. ;) Nice to hear you got a good setup now. :)

CoD4 set up now aswel.
Incredible gameplay on that. Recording with fraps and still i dont see any noticeable drop in fps.
loving it!!!!! :D

Btw, Something I just noticed, your current comp is spec equal with mine ( more or less) but I'm already considering an upgrade.

Current specs:
Intel core2duo E4300 @ 2,1 Ghz (big brother of the server CPU :P)
2GB PC6400 DDR2 ram
Asus P5B-dlx
Ati Radeon HD4870 1 GB OC edition

Hopefully new specs:
Core i7
6GB DDR3 ram
EVGA X58 SLI or DFI X58 SLI
ATI radeon HD4870 1GB OC edition
