Title: Server maintenance
Post by: StealthEye on April 30, 2017, 01:38:33 pm
We'll be moving the server to a different location, so some services will be down or unreliable today.

Do we know when service will be restored?

I think the most critical stuff (teamspeak, website) is up and running again. git and nextcloud (replaces owncloud) still need to be done. We'll discontinue IRC and ZNC because connetion/disconnection logs show that they are hardly used any more. Finally, the Windows VM needs to be restored, and some of the content of the FTP user directories need to be restored.

Are you waiting for something in particular? If so we can prioritize.

TS wasn't up until today, that was all. Getting the Windows VM would be nice to have a Factorio server going again.

Teamspeak seems to bee on the Fritz. it's acting like I've timed out but isn't actually properly timing out. It's like it's frozen in time.

Edit: And I notice forum avatars are now Connection Reset? At least mine, i guess due to the user.bi  not directing correctly?

That's what you get for linking to my stuff.

All hosted data should be restored, which is why the avatars are working again. However, there still seems to be an issue with docker that causes a lot of instability (https://github.com/docker/for-win/issues/426). Unfortunately there's not a lot we can do to resolve that. :\ (Aside reinstalling stuff to use something other than docker, but that's not very appealing either.)
