Title: New game?

I've heard that some people believe that we need a new game. Now I don't have any problem with that, and I think the rest of the admins don't have that either, BUT which game would you want us to host? We would prefer a game we own ourself (ofcourse) and a game which does not have a shitload of servers that are empty already. If the game does have a shitload of empty servers, then we can still run a server for it, BUT then we will need you to fill it up. Also, if we start a server for a game we're not completely familiar with, we will need game managers/admins.
Our server currently has more than enough capacity for most games with decent amount of players. The only real requirement regards systemspec's is that there is windows server software.
So please suggest games you want to see hosted, and also tell us how much experiance you have regards the game and hosting it.
Perhaps we will launch this server in collaberation with TheKOSs2, depending on the intrest.
We will run a trail with the game that gets named the most often. Perhaps that we will post a followup-poll on this thread.
Example games: Unreal Tournament (99 or 3) Counterstrike: Source Team Fortress 2
If the server becomes popular we might start a clan for the game.

RenegadeX server? I have TF2 and may play that with some good people... I'm probly one of the only people who bought the game and ended up really not liking it (Total lack of teamwork almost everywhere I ever play), it would be nice to play with a group of people I know once in a while though.
Tbh, no games I play I think that it would be a good idea if BI should add a Server to it. Some of them just aren't community friendly (l4d), others have enough empty servers, and for First Strike... well, I'm already an admin and essentially the manager for its current BEST server, I don't want torn away from that :P

I have TF2 myself. I bought it for a LAN-party, and at the LAN it was very enjoyable. I really liked the amount of teamplay it demanded, while not being really complicated.

Counter strike source and call of duty four they are realy big games with masive comunity i know this i have a public server on css we had it for 3 days and we got like 16 player average when were on. (we was 4 of them)(all it took was popular maps and user friendly mods)
and call of duty is an amazing game so is ut3 my votes for any of them as they are popular games and if we get good all three of them games have got leauges :)
and the good thing about bi is you dont worry about severs and slots u can have a public and a match

I can pick popular games, that is not the problem, but I want to know in which games you have intrests. So which game would you like to see with BlackIntel server? If we can't start with at least a small userbase, we will not start it.

CS:S would be my choice, for 4 reasons: 1. I have it :P 2. I think it needs way more teamwork then CoD4. 3. It's not very expensive, and easy to get with Steam (and portable!) 4. "We" already have a CoD5 server ;) We being TK2, but it is on our server, soo ... If there is a lot of intrest in CoD5 then I'm sure we can cooperate with Tk2 on that.

How about MTA (Multi Theft Auto), GTA multiplayer style?
I used to play it a bit (SA), but because of the servers being full of complete asses and admins using their powers to their own advantage (and actually mine too) I stopped - and it wasn't on one it happened, it happened on all...
However, I'd really like to see a BlackIntel server there, as it, as I recall, was quite a popular game. So if we can attract the right kind of people there, we should also be able to become more popular.
I don't know much about how it's run, etc. but I'll begin to look into it if others support it.

Remember, its Germany. They aren't even allowed BLOOD in a game. The Violence restrictions in Germany are utterly ridiculous... no problems with making some of the most extreme adult movies though.

just a warning diamond, your on quite sovreign ground there. The idea behind it is i assume following such american attrocities as virginia tech where rather twisted people feel the need to commit mass murder then blame it on a video game. We had a simular incidant in Britain with the 18 thing as the popular "ManHunt2" Was not allowed to be sold in Britain. :-[ Having said that im sure there are ways of Macinsey obtaining the game, though i shant pass too much further on that.

Its legal in Germany tp import the game regardless of the violence levels as long as it is not to be sold on nor given to a minor. Mac fails again there :(
Since WWII, the Germans have been trying to show the world how they are NOT violent, and have taken it to the other extreme disallowing any form of violence in entertainment. Hell, even the hand symbol in Left4Dead had to be edited to include the thumb incase it scared the Germans in the shops viewing the case....

We STILL have not got a clear answer as to whether the game MacKinsey cannot play is GTA or CS?!??!! >.<
But I *think* it's CS, as I do remember him asking if I was cheating on MTA (of course I wasn't), because he had a friend who'd downloaded some mod, that easily would be described as cheating.

At the moment it isnt disallowed, but the politics want to disallow it. And yeah, they control very much... ...the police is allowed to control your pc (if they think you want to kill ppl, like terrorists). You arent allowed to buy some games here in germany, one of the funniest story was Cooking Mama 1 for Wii. Its not rated by USK -> Wont be sold in Normal Stores. -> If you buy it in the internet you need to send them a copy of your Pass (Ausweis in German, shows your day of Birth, your Name, your Last Name, Everyone of them own a Unique ID...) because that game is 18+ if it isnt rated. I know a Wolfenstein (Enemy Teritory is allowed) isnt allowed because it shows to often the Nazi Signs and it shows Hi*ler (He isnt German, he is from Austria). But you can see Hi*ler in Madame Tussauds in Berlin. Germanys law is strange... ...in some cases.

Understandable concidering Germany's tainted history with more modern Warfare, though i really do think they'd turn a screw by just letting go rather cencoring now. Regardless Mac you sure you couldnt obtain it via steam or a proxy and a an ip blocker e.g peer guardian Just wondering? ;)

Oh well in Australia the government just forbids quite a lot high violent games (Fallout 3 is illegal in australia). They also have a country width internet filter.
Poor aussies.

These are the suggested games so far:
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty 5: World at War (possible merge with TK2)
Unreal Tournament 3 and/or RenegadeX
Team Fortress 2

Multi Theft Auto - GTA III, VC, or SA - still to be determined

Cod4 server would go down a treat. I'd certainly play when i get my new computer with my last pay cheque. I own the game now, but due to an old computer giving me old values i no longer have a computer.
CSS, also would be great.
I totally disagree on GTA, for many many reasons. Dont get me wrong i own the game for xbox 360, but the online play is near on terrible. It must be the only game i play on xbox that i dont play on live.

I think many people here mean GTA: SA with GTA/MTA. Not GTA 4. Though that would probably be easier to setup thanks to the fact that it actually has build in multiplayer support ;)

That's a really low price, retails at £25 i think. without the maps.
the maps come free with patch 1.6 wich is availible to anyone so no point in paying extra but i agree it is cheap

Right. But I got another Idea. TEEWORLDS Sounds lame but it is a GREAT GAME.

we could discuss clans and games and such, would rather enjoy it :]
Maybe a Console gaming section and then no need for sub categoreys, as we can add a prefix to posts for example [Xbox 360]CoD4 screenshots or [Ps3]CoD4 screenshots etc etc no need for confusion and stops having boards on the forum with very little posts too :P
