Its liams fault... jk . Anyways i was having trouble with my computer last night. When i went to start it up today it booted very slow. Big pause between xp screen and logon screen. Then long time to load settings after that. Well i noticed one thing when i ran msconfig that should not be there, but it said i could not change it because i did not have admin rights. Well i am the admin on this computer. I was able to delete it a different way and everything loaded better. I still was not able to change anything in msconfig. I ended up deleting Macfee security that i had. Everything seems fine now. I was wondering if that was the problem, or if it will come back to haunt me again. Keep in mind im not smart when it comes to computers(right liam).
ps friso sorry for leaving vent in a hurry computer was pissing me off.

Deleting "anti virus" software is always a good performance boost. Tbh you'll have to wait and see whether it comes back... ;) As for deleting those entries you might try starting up in safe mode and/or using the "autoruns" utility by sysinternals.

i tried it in safe mode and it would still not let me delete them.

Edit: NVM
Edit2: Why you wont do format c:
Then you dont have problems with your pc anymore.
Ok, i would install windows again, in your case.
I did it with my pc very often in the last days (thanks to fucked up NLITE settings or System Setting)

Please next time warn him that a format C: will wipe all your documents as wel, and thus they should be back upped before doing a format.
