Title: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Post by: Blind3001 on November 29, 2009, 11:41:37 pm
I was wondering who here in BI is going to get Bad Company 2, I know some of you are allready going to buy this but I wanted to get some more of the BI people to check it out and maybe play with us when it's out.
Release date is March 5th in Europe and March 2nd in America

The pc version of the game has some extra features wich the console version don't have so it makes it more interesting to get the pc version.

    *   Up to 32 Players on PC (24 on consoles) - Play with up to 32 players online in the biggest multiplayer Maps in Battlefield. Each with a different tactical and gameplay focus set across a variety of environments.
    * Full DirectX 9, 10 & 11 Support - Immerse yourself in the Battlefield world as Frostbite engine brings tanks, helicopters and explosions to vivid life on your PC. The game will fully support Windows XP, Vista, and 7 with new tech that further improves things like lighting and shadows.
    * Enhanced Gameplay - The PC version also includes wide peripheral support like Joysticks for flying, NVIDIA 3D Vision, Logitech LCD Keyboards and VoIP Support plus a variety of specific features tailored for PC play.
    * Friend Support - Find your friends online with the new buddy list to see if and who is online so you can quickly join their game.
    * Dedicated Ranked Server - Everyone gets non-stop action with no connection penalties based on some other player's internet. Ranked Server Provider program will give players opportunity to rent their own server(s) located in professional grade datacenters, ability to modify settings like map rotation, create reserved slots for friends or clan members, kick & Ban players, and custom name your ranked server.
    * Clan Support & Private Servers - Independent Clan Tag, and ability to rent servers for hosting and controlling private password protected competitive servers with expanded control over the settings from public ranked servers.
    * PC Squad Play System - Updated from previous Battlefield PC titles now gives control of your squad before heading into combat.

Me! Me!

I lolled at the CoDMW2 digs in there :P.   Though disapointed in the decrease from 64players in BF2/2142 to 32 players, it's still a fairly high number.  I'm putting my preorder (http://www.game.co.uk/Games/PC-Games/Battlefield-Bad-Company-2-Limited-Edition/~r333421/) in for the special edition (6 early unlocks) next week.

Supposedly they are opening the PC Beta (Ps3 or 360 beta is already going, apperently) in the new year.  Looking forwards to it.

I'm gonna get this, but I doubt my computer will be able to run it. Could someone post the minimum requirements so that I could see what upgrades I might need?

P.S. I WILL get it, even if it won't work.

It would be much appreciated, Blind.

BFBC2 comes out a bit more than three weeks before my birthday, maybe I could ask my parents to pre-order it. That way I would get it free!

And finally, I hope you puked on a PS3 Evil.

What, twigs?  You're upgrading your FS hacks to work in BC2? :p

Indeed, this game will give me a good excuse to upgrade my PC.

Good thing we have the good man Sinterklaas and de Kerstman.
I'm planning to upgrade my processor to a quad core and get 4 gigs of RAM.
This means i'll still get to play this on max :D

Nah, I haven't told you about my sweet ass 27' dell screen, 2x OCZ Vertex 60GB in RAID0 and 6 GB of ram :D Have I mentioned that my Ci7 runs at about 3,9Ghz?

You mean 3,9 per core?
If so, you've got alot of money, give me some please.

Why wouldn't it be 3,9Ghz per core? Adding the total Ghz or Mhz up doesn't make sense? So i got 4 cores running at 3,9Ghz, yes. With Hyperthreading enabled it's a tad lower, more like 3,6Ghz.

The problem is that I don't have a computer of my own. My parents won't allow me to have one till I'm 18. And we don't make a lot of money, so computer upgrades is not their priority. Plus I don't get a lot of cash.

Still two years and four months to go   :(
