It's also insane that people get angry when someone cheats in poker! Violence may also follow that.

Personally, I think a punch or two and being kicked out of the cafe was more than "Justice".  It may not sound right "morally", but he would probably think about that incident if he ever cheated again.

Poker for money is entirely a different story.
This can't be condoned, what kind of people are you..... :/ it's fucking nuts.

I agree it can't be condoned, but I do not think the poker case makes it any different. I don't think it's any less wrong there.

[edit: typo; poker, not power... ;)]

It's not a different story, in both cases time and effort of some people is involved and their efforts are harmed. With online cheating it's for ex. the serverowners time that is being wasted and the players fun (that is what they 'gain' from gaming, right?) is ruined.

I'm not saying with poker physical violence is accepted for cheating at all.
I'm saying it's different, that's all.

Bottom line is, any violence that comes from cheating at games is pathetic. And to say someone deserves it, or a few punches is okay; is so completely wrong it borders on a mental illness. What we have here is people talking smack.

Violence in any case is *never* tolerable. It should be possible to solve situations with intelligence and reason.

Now, this I must disagree with.  When dealing with you, I must resort to violence because you have no intelligence and are unreasonable.

I agree completely with LeeuumDee. I always feel like driving a knife in the people that cheat, but you just don't do it. (Calm down, I don't actually want to do that!)

I think we can all agree that the cheater created frustration with the other players (understandable right?) and at least one of the other players couldn't have it and overreacted.
