So, I was just gonna say that ever since our server has moved to this new location, I and some others have always been getting lag while playing on said server. It appears after a few minutes of playing. Maybe there is some problems with the server.

Anyway, just thought that you guys should know.

Yes.  There have been complaints from all over the world about random lag spikes when playing on the BI Box, since we moved location.  First Strike players have been moaning about it.

Something is definitely up, and it's starting to affect the playerbase on the server.  Investigation is required, these are not isolated incidents.

ok, could you download winmtr and use it to do a couple of traceroutes to box.blackintel.org and then of course copy the output to this thread?

did several mtrs and had not a single package loss nor any extreme high pings (just one or two spikes).

However, I can confirm the lagspikes ingame and that the gaming server quality is below the previous server atm.

well, that I guess it has to do with the datacenter and possibly different connections. But with proof of that, I think we can't do much about this.

WinMTRs doesn't work with Vista, supposedly.  I was getting nothing out of it at all.

Instead, I was using Pingplotter, and getting VERY unsatisfactory results.  Sometimes I was getting 50% packet loss to the server.  There are more and more and more complaints about the FS Server, even BI members are starting to prefer other servers.

My Pingplotter log:

Winmtr does work in vista. Run it in admin mode and with windows firewall off.
