The art double damage glitch
« on: November 17, 2009, 08:18:12 AM »

That glitch, posted about in the TT forum, can it be fixed server side? If not, would BIATCH detect it? Or could something be done against it?

Like if art damage done by anonymous, then divide it by two? Something like this?

That won't really work properly either. I'm not sure what the cause is for this problem so I don't know whether it can be fixed serverside.

Can the player in the art somehow avoid exploiting this glitch/bug?

It's the friendly fire bug, so yes....
You'd have to do it on purpose.

Well not entirely. If I shoot a med with my art in a 1v1, I'll shoot, jump out, repair, shoot, etc. The chances one of my bullets are neutral then are pretty high.

Oooooh, I thought that perhaps sometimes the art does twice the damage it was supposed to on vehicles or such...
